Gilford Securities management was successfully hiring brokers/producers and growing their client base. Unfortunately, their present office was unable to accommodate their growth. Their obstacle was to determine if their present space could be redesigned to seat another seventeen employees or if the other buildings in their market offered great space at exceptional value.
Recognizing the need for third party, professional representation, the firm hired Ross Selinger, president of Selinger Enterprises, Inc. After performing a comprehensive needs analysis, Ross quickly surmised that Gilford Securities would need to be presented alternative locations that afforded them the location and amenities they desired as well as negotiating with their current landlord for additional space within their building. Ross completed an extensive market analysis, including a detailed Request for Proposal process (RFP). During this process, one location became the primary choice. Simultaneously, Ross continued negotiating with Gilford Securities’ current landlord. By working both the market and the current landlord, Ross was able to create significant leverage for his client.
This proactive market approach created significant leverage for Gilford Securities.
